- eden rift Vineyards -
Under Vine Since 1849 - Eden Rift is among the oldest, continually producing estate vineyards in California. A remote, pacific refuge located under the shadow of the Gavilan Mountain Range, the estate rests on the San Andreas Fault and is part of the Cienega Valley AVA. Only 20-miles from the Pacific Ocean, this site benefits from an ideal, temperate maritime climate as well as the coveted calcareous soils requisite in the cultivation of vivid, energetic Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Ride along and explore 120 acres of vineyards and Eden Rift’s most picturesque viewpoints on a guided tour in a Polaris ATV. Enjoy a flight of wines in the vineyards they were grown while soaking in the Cienega Valley views.

As a small family winery placed perfectly in the SLH area, we find Odonata to be the perfect place to relax and spend some time with wine! You will enjoy the friendly staff and love the taste of their wines. This is our staff's top pick for price point and flavor in an all-around experience that will lift you out over the Monterey Bay and place you gently among the wine grapes. You will get a view of the coast plus the trip in and out of the winery on your private helicopter.

Your flight will depart from the beautiful Monterey Coastal Area and travel directly to Santa Lucia Highlands AVA, roughly 25 miles inland from the Bay. Your view will be of Monterey Bay, Salinas Valley agriculture, and the Santa Lucia Mountain range as you travel over one of the world's finest wine-growing locations. The SLH (Santa Lucia Highlands) is California’s premier cool-climate wine-growing district. Its fifty famed mountainside vineyard estates and associated award-winning wine labels set the standard for New World Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah.
On final approach to land at the winery, the excitement will build as you begin to feel like "royalty" and the magic of arriving by helicopter sets in. Once on the ground, the winery staff will greet and aquatint you with the winery.
After you had your fill of tasting fine wine and strolling the Barrel room, vineyards and surroundings you will depart back for another scenic flight home with more sightseeing and entertainment from above as you gain a new appreciation for the SLH, its vineyards, and stunning environment from the air.
